Havaianas Summer Kit

Hello pretty awesome beauties!

Have you heard of Havaianas?

Havaianas was born in 1962, yes, way older than I am! The birth of this classy rice pattern foot -bed of all Havaianas was inspired by a common Japanese sandals called Zori.

Zori, in Japanese culture, is a rice straw sandal made to be worn with traditional clothing like Kimono. Taking the traditional theme on board, Havaianas have grown over years starting from Brazil and all over the world.

What better way to kick start summer with Havaianas you ask? Summer is all about the beach, sun tanning and bikinis..Well, maybe not in Malaysia...but that pretty much sums up Summer. This year, Havaianas takes usual boring flip flops to a whole new evolving level in their Summer Kit Collectible. and what better way to show off summer with pin - up girl.

Even though I'm not a dude, pin- up girls often trigger me in a way, not that way!. How they look sexy in a most poise way like Monroe and Hepburn. To be exact, Havaianas greatly and ideally chosen Gil Elvgren, most well- known American pin- up artist in the 20th century. He was said to be the master of portraying an all American ideal feminine.

When we said pin- up, there's always the famous calendar where pin- up girls lies on every pages. However, Gil creation wasn't limited to calendar pages, he was the talk of the town when he became successful in commercial ads as well. You might ask what ads? Does Coca- cola ring a bell?

How could you not love that?

The pretty innocent looking girls caught in a quirky situation. How classy can you go? Now that Havaianas is creating a pair on Gil's on their most cool awesome flip- floppy, I just got to, want to, love to have my own Havaianas Summer Kit pleaseeee. I'm size 5 but 6 can fit me too! So no excuse for me not to win this aight?

It's limited edition. So guess how many of Cinderella could get their hands on this? Oh my oh my!

Here's why I would love to have this?

So here's my story, before I met stilettos, wedges and heels. I know flip- flops. I would wear flip- flops everywhere even sometimes with my baju kurung. It is accessible and easy to match.  But since then, I grew up and learn that slippers are a no- no for official event. Moreover, I'm short, wearing flippy would make me looks extra short. I really wish people would ignore the facts that I'm short and see beneath it all. World would be better place if the fact of being short in height is not an issue. Through time, I learn that whatever you wear, your confidence are the best key to make you look tall. So, be confidence in what you wear.
