{REVIEW} Kokuryu Super Summer Cake a.k.a Bedak Arab

Hello Pretty Awesome!

I know this product has been in the market for quite some time especially in Malaysia. They would call this Bedak Arab or the actual name is Kokuryu Super Summer Cake. I don't even sure why does people call this 'Bedak Arab'  when it's clearly made in Tokyo, Japan.
Skipping all the unrelated question. I had a friend that really adore this powder. Hence, out of curiosity, I wanted to try myself. Many rave about this product. So is it really good or just the talk?

Like all summer cake, they would include the sponge. As for this 'bedak arab', the sponge are separated from the casing.
The sponge are a bit different than the normal powder sponge. They called it beauty sponge. It is suppose to be wash every single use which is quite troublesome for me. So, I decided to use my own foundation brush.

Yes, as you can see, it's guaranteed Halal, so for those who really takes Halal Cosmetic seriously, this summer cake is perfect for you. And if you can read the instruction, you are required to use water with this summer cake to apply on your face. The summer cake is hard like clay and without water, it won't stick to your applicator. The great thing about having hard clay summer cake is that you won't have to worry about accidentally dropping it down and finds it crack.

As I mention earlier, I use my own brush as I find it hard for the sponge to absorb water.
And to make it easier, I bought a small water spray bottle so I won'y have to go to the bathroom to wet my applicator.

My verdict:
After a layer of application, you can see that my scar is gone.

I think this product is good but not great for me. Firstly, I'm not sure if the shade is suitable with me. After all the BB's and CC's and foundation that I've apply, I would use this summer cake. However, after a few hour I find that my makeup gets messy and it looks weird on my face.
I also finds it troublesome to kept on using separate applicator especially if you''re bringing it to places. Also it's troublesome to have to use water with it.
The price I bought this is RM32 which I consider an OK price range but I bet I could get cheaper better summer cake than this.
The packaging are not so great either. I'm not sure why I don't love this as much as I wish I would, but I would recommend this if you're to lazy to use any other cream. This would be great for a simple natural coverage makeup that also helps in concealing.

Hope this review does not offend anyone. But this is my honest opinion.

Till next time, Salam.
XOXO
